These helping hands are my saving grace! #ShareTheLoad #ShareTheLaundry #ShareChoresMultiplyLove

The current situation has brought in a lot of changes in our lifestyle. We actually had to become atmanirbhar to do all the chores of the house with no help from outside; kind of the worst nightmare for any female who has to manage multitude things. I am a Blogger and an Influencer who juggles time between managing my commitments, taking care of my toddler along various household chores. The increased workload frightened me & the looming thoughts in my mind made it feel like a punishment. Initially I struggled & I have no shame in admitting it!

My husband saw this; he has always been my strong support. In view of the changed situation he had to manage his work from home & felt helpless at times for unable to share the responsibilities. For my toddler she was super excited to see her papa at home. With a calm head we tried to work out ways to help each other.

“Change is inevitable in life. You can either resist it and potentially get run over by it, or you can choose to cooperate with it, adapt to it, and learn how to benefit from it. When you embrace change you will begin to see it as an opportunity for growth.” – Jack Canfield

So apt right?

Well, we adapted to the new lifestyle by dividing chores and helping each other. My husband always says these words – “We are in it together, come what may, it’s US.” The initial hiccups were undeniable, we sail through it at one point, right? With God’s grace we had two little hands which made life enjoyable for us.

With loads of cooking experiments in our kitty, I can say without any prejudice that we both love cooking together. Some of our experiments have really turned out so well that we feel like MasterChef’s 😊. We have taken 3-4 hours cooking something and finished it in 15 mins.

Another activity which has become the favourite game in the house is washing clothes, yes you read that right. Anaaya (my daughter) is fascinated with the washing machine for many months now; she used to observe my husband using it. Now, our little game is to put the clothes for washing, while Anaaya watches in excitement. Once, the clothes are done the father-daughter duo will remove the clothes together like a game. While drying the clothes Anaaya will throw the clothes and Papa has to catch it in time before it hits the ground! Trust me, its fun watching both of them.

Its time we truly care for each other and maintain this momentum throughout because one thing the situation has reinforced in all our lives is – Nothing is more precious than life and the presence of your loved ones.

‘I will #ShareTheLoad and help in household chores in association with Ariel India and BlogAdda
