Personal hygiene as a topic is very close to me. You can say that I have an OCD kind of situation when it comes to hygiene, however, there is a reason for it.

By qualification, I am a microbiologist. Microorganisms have varying roles to play they can work well for us at the same time create havoc in our lives. Maintaining personal hygiene not only helps us but also people around us.

Simple situations like  –

We use the toilet, however, I have seen across that we don’t wash our hands post that, the reason I don’t understand. With the same hands when we touch objects or eat food, we are inviting trouble.

Mobiles, remote, keys, laptops/desktop etc these are again frequently used stuff, right? We do multiple things eat or drink when we are working, don’t wash our hands and use these objects etc. These objects could be used by multiple people at work or home so what are you doing? You are spreading germs across. In crude words khud to khayal rakhna nahi hai doosro ko bhi satana.”

Germs spread and become resistant and ultimately harm us only or our near and dear ones. Maintaining hygiene can go a long way, there is a lot of dynamics involved which I leave it for another day. I urge you to think about it.

Personally, I try to do my best. Even for short or long travels, you would find a hand soap or a hand sanitizer in my purse.

I have tried multiple brands recent being Himalaya Pure Hands.

It does its job of sanitizing your hands. You need to use it quickly and your job is done. It’s not a thick gel so easily works on your hands which is good. I cant validate the claim of 99.9% germs though but I have my full trust in the brand. They have some great products which are multipurpose and beneficial.
