We worship Maa Kushmanda on the fourth day. Ku means “a little”, Ushma means “warmth” or “energy” and Anda means “cosmic egg”. She created the universe with her divine smile.
The consort of Shiva, she is believed to improve health and bestow wealth and strength. Her glow and radiance is as powerful and luminous as the Sun.
Maa Kushmanda is depicted with eight hands. She has kamandal, dhanush, bada and kamal in the right hands whereas, she is holding an amrit-kalash, jap-mala, gada and chakra in her left hands. Her beautiful female form is seen sitting on a lion that denotes dharma and justice.
A woman has the power of giving birth, giving life. Her strength is enormous. I should never underestimate my strength. I have the power to create.
The color for the day is Royal Blue. Get Set to Get Ready.
Love.
