Why I Love Christmas

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way! Santa Claus is coming around riding all the way

Post-Diwali everything suddenly feels to be dull, you seem to suffer from post-festive blues with a sudden low empty feeling. This surpasses with the thought of Christmas in December for me. Ya, call me mad but I love festivals and occasions and look forward to them with a lot of excitement in my heart.

With Christmas nearing the corner, I wish to share why and what I love about this festival. I am connecting this post to a blog train.

So friends!!

Welcome to the Winter Express – Blog Train where 33 awesome bloggers write about different topics related to this beautiful winter season from their own unique perspectives. Expect tips and tricks, recipes, stories, cherished memories and many more.  Don’t miss to join this magical ride with our Winter Express. This blog train is brought to you by rainbowdiaries.com, mommystimeline.com and amritkauramy.com.I would like to thank  Samidha for introducing me and sending across the Winter Express to my station.

I am also celebrating the spirit of Christmas with the #UnwrapChristmas blog post chain. I am thankful to Richa for passing on the baton of spreading Christmas joy and spirit to me.’

Christmas is a festival to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. My most favourite part of it is the Christmas decorations and Santa Claus of course! You would see me clicking pics of the decorations everywhere and posing with them because it fills my heart with joy.  The same happens during all festivities 🙂

As a child, Christmas meant Santa and gifts as there were no shopping malls Mum used to take us to a nearby shopping centre where we could enjoy games, meet Santa and get gifts too. Growing up I celebrated Christmas with a small tree and Santa Claus soft toy at home enjoying my favourite plum cake. I make it a point to have plum cake in this season because I love it and you get the best at Christmas time.

At work, we celebrated Christmas with Secret Santa. The tradition continues with my Blogging friends too as I have participated in Secret Santa in various blogging groups like Blogchatter, Blog-A-Rhythm and Write Tribe. The excitement of a child which never dies in anyone to receive presents continues.
