Meet Ms. Munmun Singh Nagpal, author of the book Looped. This is her first of the many books and an interesting love story with the concept of time travel. Doesn’t it sound interesting?
Munmun Singh Nagpal, first discovered her love for writing in standard six while writing essays. She started writing novels in class tenth, when she wrote only for her friends. She has written four unpublished novels before she finally decided to get published with Looped. An MBA in marketing, decided to leave her job for writing. Apart from writing, she also enjoys painting. She is also actively involved in marketing for her husband’s dairy business.
Let’s know more about her journey…
My journey has just begun actually. I used to work for an MNC in Hyderabad but after I got married I was determined to make a career out of writing. So, I have just published my first novel and some pretty awesome reviews are pouring in and it is very overwhelming to see people like your work. I’m sure the book is going to reach out to more people and they will like it.
Challenges – faced & learning’s…
The challenges that a woman faces while pursuing an unconventional career is that she has to manage her house as well as do justice to her career. I also had a kid to take care of. As easy as it might look to come up with a book and publish it, it is quite a task for a mom. I think the moms would relate to me. Writing a book requires your attention as a writer, editor, salesperson, and a lot more. And it takes years to finally have it in print and out in the market. Night was the time that I had to myself. I have to say one thing to all the people out there, blaming the loss of time in their lives that if you have a burning passion in your belly, you will ultimately come out shining. No restriction of a day only consisting of 24 hours can stop you from telling the world that your talent exists. I learnt that you should help yourself first, before expecting the same from others. If you are not serious about yourself, you can’t blame others for not believing in you. Trust, believe, work really hard and enjoy the fruit.
Goal for the next 5 years…
In the next five years, I have to publish at least two more books, raise my kid right, take care of my family’s health and mine, and have the nation known about this new author.
Message to all the readers…
My readers should always be happy and confident. Do not hesitate in trying the unexplored. Do something that you love and look forward to. It is only you, who knows best what you want. Take time out for yourself and for family. The world is not going to crash if you take a break once a while. Decide your priorities.
